This is an accessibility statement from Marc Amos for marcamos.com, posted on marcamos.com by Marc Amos, who is the husband of Sharon Amos.
Conformance status
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA. This website is fully conformant with WCAG 2.1 level AA. Fully conformant means that the content fully conforms to the accessibility standard without any exceptions.
Feedback
I’d love feedback on the accessibility of this website because I’m always trying to improve. Please let me know if you encounter accessibility barriers by emailing me at marcamos@gmail.com. I’ll absolutely respond to feedback within a day or two—or seven if I’m on vacation.
Assessment approach
I assessed the accessibility of this website by doing the following things:
- I ran every page through TPGI’s ARC Toolkit, Deque’s Axe, and Google’s Lighthouse
- I browser-zoomed in on every page and read the content, used the controls, etc.
- I used every page, link, control, etc. with my keyboard alone
Known issues
-
The form
<input>
on the search page doesn’t have a<label>
element associated with it. I’ve asked for assistance in two of the related issues in the project’s GitHub repository.
