	&lt;p&gt;I liked my Sidekick II and for the most part the processing its servers applied made content readable, but they were guilty of this. JavaScript was actually supported after a software update but I had to disable it because it really, really slowed things down.&lt;/p&gt;

	&lt;p&gt;I would argue that many of these principles still apply in the post-iPhone world. For example: I&#8217;ve been using Hahlo for Twitter the past week or so. It&#8217;s pretty neat and iPhone UI-ish. The stripped-down Twitter mobile page, though, is much faster and easier to directly access content on.&lt;/p&gt;
